A Little About Me
I started practicing this work in the Fall of 2022, 10 months after losing my mother, Mona Delfino, a renowned Energetic Healer, Medical Intuitive, Author, and Teacher. Although I grew up with the concepts of energy, intuition, and spiritual practices, as a tried-and-true administrative professional in many, many different fields in my working life, her passing was a catalyst for me to find my way in stepping more fully into this energetic work.
I sought out more information and connection, and through a series of events was introduced to Joan Ranquet, a pioneering Animal Communicator (and much more), who had been doing this work for nearly 30 years and had an entire online school to learn from. I signed up for her 2-year Animal Mastery Program and completed all the required case studies. By the end of the program, I had successfully talked to well over 200 animals – which for this former-perfectionist, felt like enough evidence to feel confident to take the work out into the world and help as many people and their animals as possible!
Being in service to animals has always been my dream. Now, I get to live this dream on a daily basis in a spiritually grounded way.
Known best as Leah Pancheri to my network and friends, I recently made some changes and rearrangements to my name. I still go by “Leah”, now spelled Lya, but you can expect to see more from me as Lya Zoraya from now on.
Why "Animalia"?
When deciding on what to name my Animal Communication practice, I wanted something unique and personally meaningful.
Back in my childhood, one of my favorite books was called Animalia—a gorgeous and fun picture storybook—written and hand-illustrated by Australian author & artist, Graeme Base (visit his Instagram profile here).
Out of curiosity, I looked up the word “animalia” to see if it was made up, or whether the author might have chosen it for a specific reason…
Animalia is the scientific kingdom that contains all animal species, including humans.
This fit perfectly with the intention of my practice (serving as a bridge between species), my personal interests (science, animals), AND it gives me a reason to highlight Graeme’s beautiful work – 30+ years in the making!
Side note: I recently introduced my 11 year old nephew to another one of Graeme’s books, The Eleventh Hour, which is a hidden picture mystery-solving storybook. We had the best time as we deciphered riddles, solved puzzles – including the numerous red herrings! – and found all the hidden pictures. The amount of detail in these books is absolutely extraordinary.
